About The Artist

I am The Art Jar.

900+ Pieces Sold Since 2017 Westland, MI

I am a retired High School Art Teacher. I taught Drawing & Painting at all levels, with multiple other medias and courses throughout my career.

I am also a retired HS coach — 12 years as a Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach, 24 years and over 33 seasons total coaching boys' and girls' sports. I retired from coaching in 2016.

I started coaching at 19 while attending Eastern Michigan University, earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree — which shaped both my teaching style and my art. After retiring from coaching, I began my new personal artistic journey. I smile every day, and I enjoy bringing happiness to people now more than ever.
