Los Amigos

Westland, Michigan · November 2022 – current

Los Amigos is a family-oriented Mexican restaurant right here in Westland, my hometown, and I’m proud to have my work on its walls. I made a set of hand-cut, hand-painted cardboard pieces for its orange walls: a blue sugar skull, a rainbow piñata, a cactus, a tequila bottle, maracas, sombreros and the restroom signs. The photos below show the pieces on the restaurant’s walls. Support local, support Westland.

The Sports Bar Westside

Ann Arbor, Michigan · January 2024 – current

The Sports Bar Westside is a sports bar and grill at 5510 Jackson Road in Ann Arbor. For nearly two decades it was Banfield’s Westside Grill, until Rick and Ben Buhr bought it in 2012 with plans to add University of Michigan memorabilia. Ben has commissioned me for all of the handmade work on its walls: the Michigan M, football and Rose Bowl rose, the 2023 National Championship logo, the big Westside script under the TVs, the W logo, the Pearl Jam Stickman, the National Champions pennant and the framed, hand-embellished memorabilia. Ben is super creative, he has great ideas, and I love working with him.
